I lead a team of five people who are required to deliver high quality timely legal, compliance and procurement advice. The team function is good, however, I wanted to enable them to move into a ‘great’ space. Sue delivered a half-day workshop that allowed the team to explore our own strengths and weaknesses. The program was exceptional, providing both managers and staff with the opportunity to deeply dive into the art of feedback. The training session Sue Anderson held at Warrnambool City Council focused on increasing cohesion and empowerment within the team, and it has proven to be incredibly valuable. The training aimed to help staff feel more calm, confident, and connected with one another, and it successfully achieved that goal.
The content was highly relevant, offering practical strategies to enhance communication, collaboration, and overall team dynamics. Sue Anderson created a supportive environment where team members felt encouraged to share their thoughts and experiences. As a result, everyone left the session feeling more confident in their roles and better equipped to handle challenges together.
We brought Sue in when our Executive Team had newly been formed to ensure that we had the strong foundations to deliver together, and Sue was able to raise our awareness of effective, clear communication and of how to perform as a high-functioning team. We are a stronger, better team as a result, and we have the skills to respectfully apply rigour around the work we do together as a team.
From a team coaching perspective, Sue was able to gain trust from the team to develop a baseline understanding of team culture. Sue works with the team to assess where staff are at in their careers and the role they play within the team. The independent review conducted by Sue has allowed improved staff morale, workplace behaviours and supported staff to make informed decisions. Sue’s coaching renders great results in building a resilient team.
Sue provided both 1:1 Coaching and Group Coaching support for our Leadership team. Feedback from participants was that the information provided was practical and things they can apply on the job.
